Boris Pavlovksy
Born in Russia and living in Vienna, violinist Boris Pavlovsky has been a permanent member of the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna since 2013. Prior to that, he played in the Tonkünstler Orchestra and was the leader of the second violins in the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck. He regularly appeared as a guest concertmaster in various orchestras in German-speaking countries. As part of his work as a concertmaster in the Altomonte Orchestra, St. Florian Abbey (world-renowned recordings of Bruckner Symphonies), he also played solo performances. As a solo violinist he had various international appearances. He graduated with a master's degree in violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna from the Vienna Philharmonic, Prof. Gerald Schubert. Since 2015 Pavlovsky works with the legendary Prof. Boris Kuschnir. He is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions (including Stefanie Hohl Competition, winner of "Virtuosos of the XXI century" and International Demidov violin competition in Russia).
